The HKRC is based at Pokfulam Public Riding School. Situated in southern Hong Kong Island near Pokfulam Reservoir, this is one of the oldest public riding schools in Hong Kong. It was completed in November 1978 on a piece of land of 2,000 square metres. It also consists of a building which can accommodate 36 horses and ponies. The Riding for the Disabled Association of Hong Kong has an office here and makes use of the riding venue.

Facilities in the riding school include offices, changing rooms, a covered pony paddock (25 x 9 metres), an outdoor horse paddock (46 x 17 metres) and parking spaces.  There is also a hacking trail of about 4,800 metres in length built around the slope along the reservoir. The Pokfulam Public Riding School is BHS Approved.
